| Religions |
4 religions have developed through the time in the galaxy. Initially each religion was cultivated by a separate race, hence the tradition of each religion being ruled by the ancestor race.
The Humanoids' religion is Terrocism, based on Earth spirit worship/ The main bonus if offers are additional platforms;
The Silicoids' religion is called Chaosism, which personifies the opposition of chaos and absolute order in the Universe. It's main bonus is additional depot space;
The Insectoids' religion is Astrozoo - a cult worshiping the Great Foremother who gave birth to the Universe. It gives bonus to population;
The Plasmoids' religion is Targonism, which is based on the idealization of the lost civilization of Forerunners and their Targon prophets. It gives bonus to power supply.
In order to accept a religion you have to build a Temple, then access the Diplomacy section on the same planet and accept a religion.
Presently you may join any religion regardless of the race. However the religious leader can be chosen exclusively from among the ancestor race. The religious leader is elected on average for 10 days by a simple majority of followers who are VIP members and paid the tax.
The acceptance fee (a part of which is cumulated by the religion fund) and the method of novices acceptance is established by the religious leader. Each follower, provided he has a positive IC balance, is paying a daily tax amounting from 1 to 50 IC. The amount of the daily tax is also established by the religious leader. The funds collected from acceptance fees and daily taxes may be distributed by the Leader and his assigned followers among the church members.
If a member is expelled by the spiritual leader, an amount equal to the taxes charged from him for the last 7 days*50 is reimbursed to the expelled member from the religion balance.
The parish gets bonus points for the amount cumulated from religion tax. The religious leader can spend these bonus points to acquire and maintain additional religion features. After purchasing an additional feature the leader may entitle any parishioner to build on his/her hypergate the altar that will maintain the operation of the acquired feature. The operating altar increases the vitality of the hosting hypergate and its weapon emplacements. The additional feature operates as long as bonus points are being charged from the religion balance, the player who build the altar keeps being a follower of the given religion and hyperspace and altar still exist.
